{"id":1800,"date":"2017-11-21T11:35:40","date_gmt":"2017-11-21T10:35:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.safogroup.co.uk\/?p=1800"},"modified":"2017-12-11T18:00:45","modified_gmt":"2017-12-11T17:00:45","slug":"fleet-operators-association-acfo-elects-julie-summerell-as-first-regional-chairman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.safogroup.com\/ambiente_test\/fleet-operators-association-acfo-elects-julie-summerell-as-first-regional-chairman\/","title":{"rendered":"Fleet operators\u2019 association ACFO elects Julie Summerell as first regional chairman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1802 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.safogroup.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Julie-Summerell-TR-Fleet_edited.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"432\" height=\"461\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.safogroup.com\/ambiente_test\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Julie-Summerell-TR-Fleet_edited.jpg 432w, https:\/\/www.safogroup.com\/ambiente_test\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Julie-Summerell-TR-Fleet_edited-768x819.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 432px) 100vw, 432px\" \/>Julie Summerell has been elected ACFO\u2019s\u00a0<strong>first regional chairman<\/strong>\u00a0following the restructuring of the fleet decision-makers\u2019 organisation.<\/p>\n<p>The managing director of fleet services company TR Fleet, part of the SAFO Group, was elected in an ACFO members\u2019 vote.<\/p>\n<p>The election of Summerell, an\u00a0<strong>active member of ACFO for more than 20 years<\/strong>, serving as a Midlands Region officer since 2006 and chairman\u00a0since 2008,\u00a0follows the decision by ACFO to reduce to one region from January 1, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>James Pestell, currently secretary of ACFO\u2019s East Anglia Region, was the only nomination for regional secretary so was elected unopposed.<\/p>\n<p>They\u00a0will both serve for 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>Founded more than\u00a0<strong>40 years ago with meetings and networking<\/strong>\u00a0focused around nine regions of the\u00a0<strong>UK,<\/strong>\u00a0ACFO is to reduce to one region due to dwindling attendances at meetings and introduce regional webinars in addition to continuing to hold its popular twice-a-year seminars on key issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elpidio Sacchi, CEO of the Safo Group<\/strong> says\u00a0 &#8220;Safo Group are pleased to be supporting Julie in her new role as ACFO\u2019s first regional chairman.
